IPAF 1b Boom Lift Training Course

If you’re a powered access operator and regularly use static boom lifts including truck mounted, trailer mounted and spider style cherry pickers, this training course is designed to enhance your knowledge of how to use the different styles of machines safely and considerately.

Course Aims.

Our fully accredited IPAF training courses will enhance the knowledge of powered access operators, giving them the skills to use a range of static boom lift machines safely. The course content splits into a theory based session followed by hands on boom lift operating at our indoor training centre in Coventry. Each course accommodates up to four people and will be delivered by our IPAF approved training instructor.

In addition, upon successful completion of both the theory and practical assessments of this category 1b static boom lift training course, the attendee gains the qualification to operate:

Trailer Mounted Boom Lifts

Spider Platform Boom Lifts

Who Should Attend This Course.

This course will suit any powered access operator who operates a range of static boom lifts including spider platforms, truck mounted boom lifts and trailer mounted cherry pickers. An attendee on this course is able to book additional categories if they operate a wider range of mobile elevating working platforms. For more information visit our IPAF Training page.

IPAF Qualifications

Upon successful completion of this IPAF 1b static boom lift training course, an attendee will have demonstrated the enhanced knowledge and ability to understand and operate a range of static cherry pickers including Spider platforms, trailer mounted boom lifts and truck mounted access platforms.

As a result the individual will receive a digital Powered Access Licence (ePAL) that can be downloaded to a smartphone. The Powered Access Licence is valid for a period of 5 years and can be easily updated.

If a printed PAL is required by the attendee, this can be ordered at anytime but is subject to additional charges. For more information, please ask the course instructor.
