IPAF 3b Boom Lift Training Courses in Coventry

Our IPAF approved boom lift training courses are what you need if you are looking to use mobile boom lifts on site or in the course of your daily work activities. This course enhances your understanding of how to use self propelled cherry pickers and access equipment. By successfully completing the course, you will have have demonstrated your theoretical knowledge and practical hands on ability and be qualified to a standard recognised by HSE and across industry.

An IPAF approved self propelled, mobile boom lift training course increases and enhances an operators knowledge of how to use a cherry picker safely and securely.

The two part course features both a theoretical understanding of this type of access platform and practical hands on training of how to manoeuvre, position and operate machines efficiently.

At the end of each section, our IPAF approved training instructor will assess the capabilities of each attendee. Our daily training courses take place at our indoor training centre in Coventry and can accomodate up to four people.

Once the attendee has successfully completed both the theory and practical assessments of the category 3b mobile boom lift training course, they receive an approved IPAF powered access qualification and licence, demonstrating that they can use:

Who Should Attend This Course.

Our IPAF category 3b mobile boom lift operator course will meet the needs of a powered access engineer who uses self propelled cherry pickers and mobile elevated access platforms when carrying out their working at height requirements.

IPAF Qualifications

Successful completion of the IPAF category 3b mobile boom lift operator training course, demonstrates that participants have understood the content of the theory based element of the course and carried out the practical operation stage of the training to the required standard. Our approved IPAF instructor will carry out the assessments to ensure that each attendee meets the standard.

At this point, the attendee will be able to download a digital Powered Access Licence (ePAL) to their smartphone and if necessary they can order a printed version of the licence at additional cost. The licence is widely recognised and remains valid for a period of five years and can be extended with ease at the appropriate time.
